General Update + Plans for new CD
Things are going so slow. I did do couple of remasters, though. One of the original "Memory Bank" instrumental. and one of "Against the Grain" by Poet!k. I'll speak more about that in a moment . For now lets talk about Memory Bank.
For all 2 of you that have known me since day 1, you will remember this was used in collaboration with Theorii, and it was the first track we did together. I had a good time going back and rebuilding it. I spoke of Aims in my last post, and this is the first beat he'll be on. I'm waiting on his response, currently. Speaking of waiting on responses, that is the sole reason why things have been going so slow. Thrash and Perplex, Mayan Stone Records, Aims. All of those guys have asked for beats, but just seem to be disappearing as soon as I respond. Scott Burns' mixtape "Substance Abuse" came out recently, and he went over my Hypernova beat on track 2, "YAK SNIFFLESON".

At the moment, I'm just trying to get production credit, alongside getting ahold of the master file so I can use it on my own upcoming CD, but as with the other collaborators, he's pretty slow to respond. I do hope we can get this sorted out so we can work again in the future.
Now, Speaking of my CD, and bringing up Poet!k from earlier, I'm planning to do a mixtape featuring artists songs that were performed over my beats. The CD will be called G-Men. You know how Xavier has the X-Men? Well Gecko Infinite has the G-Men. I'm still deciding who will be featured, because it's still very early days, and I don't have all the tracks I want yet (waiting). For an idea of who and what will be in the G-Men, heres a rough list.
Theorii - Ya Don't Stop (Definitely)
Poet!k - Against The Grain (Definitely)
Scott Burns - YAK SNIFFLESON (Hopefully)
Relit - Image (Hopefully)
Gecko Infinite - Body Parts (Probably)
Hoodwolf - Travelling Man (Probably)
Hoodwolf - Travelling Man (Probably)
Poet!k - Prototypes (Maybe)
Gecko Infinite - The Illest (Maybe)
That's what we have so far. I've lost contact with Nefarious Freak, but I do still want him on here. I made a lot of beats for him and nothing has really surfaced yet. Hoodwolf, I'm still trying to get his acapella so I can mix it properly with the beat, and we'll probably see another track form him, too. In addition to all of that, we might have Aims on here, if he gets back in touch, and another track from Poet!k using the "Cheer Up Kid" instrumental, another from Relit using my unreleased "Misty" Instrumental, hopefully more from Theorii, and another from myself. If I forgot to mention anyone, They are probably a flaky collaborator, and it's unlikely I'll get anything back from them. I'd love to get a semi-big name on here to bring in listeners. Someone like Billy White, but I gave him a bad impression of my skills years ago, so I don't think he'll touch anything of mine.
Well I think that's pretty much it for now. I realise I'm just typing to myself, but I make these updates in case a new person comes along, and I don't want them to think this blog is dead. Peace out.

New Beat + New Artist
So I've finally managed to get round to doing some more music, and it resulted in this gem. Very old sounding, kind of alternative, even for a 90's style beat. It kind of reminds me of a 70's setting. a nice classic car driving through an inner city neighbourhood in the sunlight.
And also, I have a new guy to record lyrics. Name is Aims. He is associated with Relit, another rapper that I had worked with before.
Aims on the first verse, Relit on the second. The first beat that Aims will be using is the classic "Memory Bank" instrumental, which I have been remastering lately. He's also requested a bunch of others, so We'll see what happens

New Hoodwolf Track "Travelling Man"
Woke up to find this posted on facebook. Good stuff. I look forward to working with Hoodwolf again.
TRAVELLING MAN by HOODWOLF
I'm also looking to obtain the acapella, so I can mix it with the master.
No other news at the moment. I'll be getting Skyrim soon, so that's going to put a stop to all my shit, hahaha.

New Track "Ya Don't Stop"
Here's the final product of the beat I posted recently. Finally Theorii's lyrics are done justice by my mixing and production, making his work sound altogether a little more professional. The first step was to make his vocal track sound clear. This meant, compression, bringing out the mid-high frequencies, and adding slight reverb. Removing the background noise wasn't easy. It was very prominent to begin with, but it's hardly noticeable at all now. The second verse alone is probably one of my favourite pieces of Hip-Hop ever performed. His flow blends several influences to create a unique beast. Please share this around with any of your friends who might be interested.
In other news, I was in the middle of making another asian sounding beat, while FL studio decided it wanted to fuck me over and betray me (it crashed). I'll probably start work on that again tomorrow, as I lost almost everything. ThrashAndPerplex had contacted me about the "Cheer Up Kid" instrumental, and that he would be sending his vocals soon. It's taken a couple of days since he said that though, and I'm still waiting.
Stick around for more updates.

New Drum & Bass Track "Friends"
Been aaaaaaages since I made a Drum & Bass track. I thought I'd slap something together, a little track about betrayal. Samples I used were the flute, "Renado's House" from the Zelda: Twighlight Princess soundtrack. A vocal sample of MF Grimm, from a radio freestyle, and a vocal sample of Benefit, from a track he did also called "Friends". Everything else, apart from the 3 different drum loops, was composed by me. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you think I should make more like this.
In other news, Someone did a remix of my Melfina beat. Well, they layered some Mobb Deep vocals over it, anyway. I don't think I'm going to link it. It wasn't bad, but It's not for this blog.
I still haven't heard anything from these collaborators. I'm confident that Hoodwolf will come up with something soon, but theres about 4 or 5 other guys who are supposed to be using my beats at the moment.
I was thinking about making an entry into MC Chris' Remix Wars and doing a remix of "Lullabye". I decided not to bother. I would make an old school style beat for it, and I'm sure that's not what he's looking for here.
I did end up writing some lyrics to "Incarcerated Scarfaces", but i'm not 100% sure I'll record them.
That's all for now. Got a couple of things coming up, probably a couple of new beats, so stay tuned.

Beat For Theorii (Ya Don't Stop)
First off, I have to say congrats to my man, as it looks like he might be getting signed to a small time label. Anyway, I was speaking to him recently and he requested the "Ya Don't Stop" beat (Which means it is no longer available for request). It's a pretty old beat, one of the first I made using FL Studio, So I had to go back and just touch it up a little. I'll show a comparison below:
Old Beat
New Beat
As you can see, it was just a general clean up. It sounds more controlled, and altogether a little more professional. I don't know when the track will drop, But it could be within the next few weeks, so keep ready for it.
For those of you who don't know who Theorii is, heres a little taster from his first album "Illogical".
The mixing wasn't great on the album, but he's a top of the line MC. I'll be the one mixing this track, so it should sound a bit more presentable
I don't have any other news at the moment, but something could come up at any time, and I'll be sure to keep you posted.
